About Jesse
Jesse has worked in communications, writing, publishing and media roles in Australia and the United States for nearly 20 years.
His work has spanned the performing arts, sports, agriculture, higher education and even the maple syrup industry with the likes of Arts Centre Melbourne, Dairy Australia, the Victorian Government, the New England Sports Network, The Boston Globe newspaper and numerous Australian universities.
A grammar geek and storyteller who loves wielding a red pen almost as much as writing a good tale, Jesse has worked with CEOs and board directors, as well as in crisis communications and helping to lead Arts Centre Melbourne’s communications response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He has also written scripts for TV news features and been a college sports journalist and broadcast commentator.
Jesse holds a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in History and Environmental Studies) from Tufts University in Boston, USA.
About Matija
Matija has worked in media, communications, legal and mentoring roles, including as a media adviser and media manager in Australian politics, a copywriter in a full service communications agency, a program manager and lawyer in a refugee NGO, a mentor in an outback indigenous school, and a managing lawyer of a boutique law firm. Matija was also a producer and presenter in community radio for seven years.
A big picture thinker, storyteller and strategist, Matija has held senior media and communications roles in the Australian Greens and worked on the 2016, 2019 and 2022 federal elections, the successful 2017 marriage equality campaign and the 2018 abolition of the “tampon tax”.
Matija holds degrees in Law and Arts (Political Science and French) from the University of Melbourne and is admitted to practice as a lawyer in Australia.
Matija also has a Master Trainer Certificate in Fitness from the Australian Institute of Fitness.
